Browsing the Catalog

Afolio includes a built-in catalog of LEGO sets, parts, and minifigures. The catalog updates automatically.

Finding Sets

Use the Catalog section in the sidebar:

All Sets — browse or search the full catalog
Recently Added — current-year sets added in the latest catalog update (older retroactive additions are filtered out so the list stays focused on new releases)
Theme folders — expand to browse by theme (Star Wars, Technic, City, etc.)
Theme List — every theme with its set count and year range. Themes with sub-themes (such as Star Wars) can be expanded to show them. Select a theme to see its sets.

On iPhone and iPad: the Catalog section on the home screen (or in the iPad sidebar) has Recently Added (when there are new sets), All Sets, Minifigures, Parts and Theme List. To browse by theme, open Theme List and tap the arrow next to a theme to show its sub-themes.

Search

The search field accepts:

Set names — "Millennium Falcon"
Set numbers — "75192" or "75192-1"
Years — "2024" to show sets from that year
Combinations — "Star Wars 2024" to narrow results

Set Details

Click any catalog set to see its details: image, set number, name, year, piece count, theme, and available building instructions.

Newly announced sets often appear in the catalog before LEGO publishes their parts list. Until it's out, they show Pieces TBA instead of a piece count, sort last when sorting by pieces, and their Parts tab explains that the list isn't released yet. It fills in automatically after a catalog update once LEGO releases it.

From the catalog detail view you can:

Add to My Collection — adds the set to your collection. Once you own it, this becomes View in Collection.
Add to Wishlist — saves it for later
View on LEGO.com — opens the set's page on LEGO's website

Parts Catalog

Browse individual LEGO parts by expanding the Parts section in the sidebar. Pick a category to see its parts, or search by part name or number. The Parts view stays empty until you narrow it down — the catalogue has tens of thousands of pieces and listing all of them at once isn't useful.

On iPhone and iPad: tap Parts under Catalog, then search, or tap Choose Category to pick a category.

You can also search by element ID — the 6 to 8 digit number printed next to a part in a LEGO instruction manual (e.g. 6436348). Afolio resolves the element ID directly to the matching part and colour, so you don't need to know the part's catalog number.

Click a part to see its details: available colours, sets that contain the part, and — if the part only ships inside a minifigure — the minifigures that include it and the sets those minifigures appear in. Right-click a part to copy its part number, with or without the colour ID.

When a part appears in many sets, tap View all sets (or View all minifigures) on its details to see the full list. On the Mac this opens in its own window.

Minifigures Catalog

Browse minifigures by expanding the Minifigures section in the sidebar. Search by name, figure number, or browse by theme. On iPhone and iPad, tap Minifigures under Catalog.

Catalog Updates

The catalog checks for updates automatically once per day. You can manually check in Settings → Data → Check for Updates (on iPhone and iPad, tap the gear on the home screen or sidebar, then Data).
